I am a native El Pasoan. I grew up in the small bi-state community of Anthony, New Mexico-Texas. After, raising my 4 children, I returned to school, attending UTEP and in 1993, earning a Bachelors Degree in Interdisiplinary Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education. Ten years later, in 2003 I earned a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology. I taught kindergarten at Benito Martinez, for six years, literacy through fine arts, also at Bentio Martinez, for one year and have been a librarian at Sierra Vista since 2001.
I believe: that teaching children is one of the most important jobs in the world. that we can indeed change the future by what we do. that it is my true calling.
