Socorro ISD began construction of its' 35th instructional campus, John Drugan on February 24, 2005. The school is named after John Drugan a farmer of the Socorro Valley SISD, Board Trustee for 11 years, and benefactor of this same district.
From the barren desert inhabited only by mice, rabbits, and coyotes, our beautiful building literally rose like the mythological bird, the Phoenix. Designed on the concept on an airport's concourse, our new campus opened January 9, 2006.
