We will continue to enforce the uniform policy this year. Students are expected to wear a white, red, gray or navy blue polo shirt, solid crew shirt or t-shirt depicting the school's logo. Students may wear 5-pocket jeans, khaki, or navy blue pants, skirts or shorts with school shirts. Teachers are responsible for enforcing the dress code for their students. Students should make sure they wear or have a pair of tennis shoes so they can participate in the activities during PE.
In the event that students are permitted to wear clothing of their choice (i.e. Free Dress Fridays, special occasions, festivities) students should adhere to the following dress code:
All students will wear respectable clothing free of gang association, alcohol, and/or drugs.
Students will wear pants that fit properly. (Baggy pants and bicycle shorts will not be allowed.)
All students will wear shirts with appropriate sleeves. (Spaghetti straps will not be allowed.)
All students will wear shorts and/or skirts at an appropriate length. (The length of the shorts/skirts must exceed the length of the finger tips at arms length.)
Students must wear clothing and accessories that do not cause a disruption or safety/health hazard.
Students who do not wear the uniform when required or who choose behavior that is not aligned to classroom or school policies and procedures after the first two weeks of school, must be sent to one of our counselors (PK-2nd Christina Nunez or 3rd-5th Alex Camack) so they can change. Please call them first before you send the child to make sure they are available to assist in this area. The counselors will also document the students name, and if this behavior becomes a pattern, they may be restricted from participating in Free Dress Days.
Below are pictures of some examples of the colors and styles allowed by the uniform policy.
