New Grading Policy – Information for Parents and Students | |
| On October 20, 2009, the Socorro ISD Board of Trustees approved revisions to local policy EIA, ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT GRADING/PROGRESS REPORTS TO PARENTS, effective January 4, 2010. These revisions are based upon Senate Bill 2033 which now requires all school districts to adopt a grading policy, including provisions for the assignment of grades on class assignments and examinations. 2009-2010 Socorro ISD Impact Aid Census | |
| The Socorro ISD will conduct its annual Impact Aid Census on October 27. The census is the way in which the District files its claim each year for Impact Aid funds allowed for under Public Law 103-382, Title VIII. This law allows for partial replacement funding for lost property tax revenue due to military installations and other federal property in or near the District. | Mission Early College High School (MECHS) senior Fred Alexander Smalley was recognized for earning the rank of Eagle Scout during a special ceremony held at Jane A. Hambric School.
