Ms. Cynthia López has worked in public education for the past 37 years. Her 27 years of teaching experience as an English Language Arts teacher ranged from 6th grade to 12th grade. As an adjunct professor, she has also taught college level courses which included Comp I, II and sophomore world literature. Prior to coming to Socorro in May 2007, Cynthia worked as a central office Executive Director for Curriculum and Instruction at Los Fresnos CISD. She is currently working on her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Pan American in Edinburg. She has earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Masters in Education from Pan American University. She also holds a Principal Texas Educator Certificate and a Superintendent Texas Educator Certificate. She is married to Andres Lopez and together they have two daughters.
