Bonnie Leon
Administrative Specialist I

Joined Socorro ISD in 2001, during this time Ms. Leon has had the privilege of working with people of all walks of life within the district, as well as the El Paso Community. She serves with the Sun Bowl parade committee and has done so for several years. She enjoys spending time with her family and long road trips with her husband of thirty years, former El Paso Police Chief Carlos Leon.

Jose F. Carrasco
Police Sergeant

Sgt. Carrasco has served the district for twenty one years and within those years he has served as a Security Officer, Attendance Officer, Security Supervisor , Police Officer, eventually attained the rank of Police Sergeant. His hobbies include camping and baseball.

Michael Vazquez
Police Sergeant

Joined SISD after retiring from the El Paso Police Department with 27 years of law enforcement experience. Sgt. Vazquez brings a wealth of experience in the handling of juvenile’s while at the El Paso Police Department. Prior to his retirement, Sgt. Vazquez was assigned to the Juvenile Investigation Section of the El Paso Police Department. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Master Peace Officer certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE).

Luis A. Vega
District Investigator

Joined Socorro ISD in1986, he started in the Transportation Department as a part time Bus Driver, he also worked as Security Officer, Attendance Officer and eventually became SISD Police Services First Certified Police Officer. He also served as interim Chief of Police when then Chief Ramon Rendon retired. His hobbies include working in construction and working with horses.

Christopher Duran
District Security Supervisor

Joined Socorro ISD in 2000 as Full time Security officer, eventually attaining the rank of District Security Supervisor, His hobbies include music and spending time with his family.

Sally Upchurch
Attendance Supervisor

Joined SISD in 1987, as a PE aide at Campestre Elementary, she has also worked as a full time Security Officer, Attendance Officer and eventually attained the rank of Attendance Supervisor. She enjoys spending time with her many pets and playing softball.

Albert Aragon
Administrative Officer/ Police Officer

Joined Socorro ISD in 1989 as a part time Security Officer and worked himself through the ranks working as Full time Security Officer, Attendance Officer, District Security Supervisor and eventually became a Police Officer. He currently holds the position of Administrative Officer and is also assigned to one of our High Schools. He holds an Associates Degree from El Paso Community College in Liberal Arts.
