Socorro High School NJROTC to be honored at February 2nd Game at Sun Bowl

The Don’t Mess with Texas litter-prevention program will be featured during half time. Chuck Berry, El Paso District Engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will honor three groups for their 20 years of dedicated commitment to the Adopt-A-Highway (AAH) Program: - Guadalupe Mountains National Park Association (Hudspeth County)
- Marfa’s Lion Club (Presidio County)
- Prude Ranch (Jeff Davis County)
The Socorro High School Navy JROTC will be honored for their 15 years of dedicated service to the AAH Program. The El Paso Master Gardeners Association & Texas Master Naturalist and Hanks High School JROTC will be honored for their outstanding efforts in maintaining our Texas roads beautiful. The AAH Program is a community partnership with TxDOT that gives individuals and groups the opportunity to help their community by collecting litter and beautifying state roadsides. This program originated with TxDOT and has spread to 49 states and various countries. |
