2007 Excellence In Technology Awards

SISD’s Annual Excellence in Technology Awards showcased nearly 200 students at an event in the Socorro High School Theatre on February 8th. More than 394 student projects were submitted for the competition, which honors students for their skill and creativity in areas such as campus broadcasts, desk top publishing, web page design, digital graphics, digital video, multi-media and animation. 182 students won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place honors in the various categories.

Three teachers were also selected as 21st Century Teachers for their efforts at integrating technology into the classroom. Gary Fugate, Americas High School; Herlinda De La Cruz, Loma Verde School and Adriana Weatherly, Lujan Chavez Elementary each will receive an interactive white board and data projector.
