Parents are invited to attend a parental conference hosted by the AHS.

• Americas High School will host the 12th Annual Regional Parental Engagement Conference on Saturday, November 7th from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Participants will attend a morning session which will include a keynote address by renowned speaker and author of When My Dad Came Home (Cuando Regrese Mi Papa), Lupina Vela. The morning and afternoon sessions will cover a variety of topics, including parenting skills, parent involvement, family/school partnerships, math, reading, TAKS, TEKS, special education, discipline, gang awareness, health, nutrition and many other topics.
