Welcome to the El Dorado High School webpage.  I hope that you enjoy learning about the Aztecs as you maneuver through our website.  The pictures are visual markers of a growing campus.  Our students have already made some remarkable accomplishments, and we are looking forward to their future success.

We hope that you are able to join us in celebrating our  Graduation Ceremony on May 31, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Don Haskins Center.  The class of 2013 has already proven to be a very remarkable class indeed.  Their strength and leadership skills have not gone unnoticed.  We are looking forward to celebrating their success in all areas from athletics to academics as they work toward their graduation.

El Dorado is a proud International Baccalaureate school.  The IB program is known for its strong internationalism and rigorous curriculum.  Texas Senate Bill 111 now states that students who graduate with an IB Diploma will enter Texas Universities as sophomores!

El Dorado High School also offers Advanced Placement and Dual Credit classes that can award college credit as well.  We’ve worked very hard to provide resources to our students to allow them the opportunity to be as successful as possible after high school.

This year, our district will be implementing a new program to increase student attendance:  Make It Count!  When it comes to student performance, every day counts. The only way our students are going to learn what they need to learn is if they are in class every day.  The students with the strongest and most stable foundation are those who are in class every day – make sure your child is in class every day!   Please try to schedule medical appointments after school or during the intercession.

Clearly, our students are on the road to success!

Enjoy your virtual visit to the Aztec Empire.

Go Aztecs!
