Impact Aid School Construction Project

Description: Americas High School is a nine-wing, two-level complex spanning approximately 300,000 square feet. The building has no operational windows and is 100 percent reliant on the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) unit for internal air movement and exchange. Recent assessment results indicate that the existing system does not operate uniformly throughout the building and temperature variances are greater than 30 degrees in different sections of the building. This project will replace the HVAC system with an energy-efficient, integrated system to include air filtering, heating and cooling, which will create a more conducive learning environment.

Estimated Total Cost of the Project: $1,875,850

Amount to be funded with ARRA Funds: $1,875,850
