Departments The English Department provides an intensive study of the qualities of good writing, including figurative language, content, focus, organization, and style as well as analyzing major trends of thought and literature. Writing is a “threshold skill” for both academic achievement and employment, and we strive to provide our students with the foundation needed to achieve this success.
