Welcome to Socorro ISD’s TIPS website. We invite you to read and peruse our website to learn more about who we are and what we do.
The TIPS department is made up of seven educators with a combined number of 196 years of experience. At the ‘heart’ of our work is for every student in the District to receive the best education possible by providing their teachers the most recent, up-to-date tools along with tried and true best practices to see that the students are successful. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive instructional and support program for new teachers, mentor teachers and school leaders based on their unique needs. We meet the needs of students by assisting apprentice (student teachers), novice and veteran teachers through mentoring and professional development. We are also ready to assist instructional leaders in any way they feel is needed on their campuses.
