ParentsEmergency Preparedness SISD has taken a proactive approach regarding security and emergency preparedness at our schools. We have a District Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) in place, and each campus also has their own EOP, unique to their school's needs. State law also mandates such plans, to include security audits. SISD conducts random audits at the schools to ensure our students and staff have a safe and secure educational environment. Each school also conduct drills to practice their EOP with their students so that they know how to react in a crisis situation, whether it be a gas leak or an actual threat against the school. SISD Police Services has taken several proactive measures to support school safety:
In Case of a Critical Incident Should an incident occur at a campus, we realize that parents and family members will be concerned for their child's safety. We also realize that the key to addressing this issue is providing timely information and updates.
With the cooperation of parents and family using the media as an information source, we can work together to ensuring a safe school environment for our students and staff.
The following is a list of area phone numbers that could be helpful in other than normal situations.
