Government is a course aimed at helping Seniors to understand the framework of laws, ideals, history, and entities that make up different power structures throughout the United States and abroad.
Goals for 2010 - 2011
1. Primary Sources - Increase the use of primary sources in the classroom in order to have students understand concepts by examining documents and artifacts.
2. ELPS Strategies - Increase the use of English Language Proficiency strategies in order to improve vocabulary use and understanding among our students.
3. Pre-Assessments - Increase the use of pre-assessments in an effort to ascertain students' understanding prior to beginning a new lesson or unit.
4. Differentiated Instruction - Increase the use of differentiated instruction in order address the learning needs of a greater percentage of our students.
5. Lesson Plans - Improve the use of different methods and planning in order to produce better lesson plans.
