Col. John O. Ensor Middle School’s counseling program is truly an integral part of school life and campus culture. Through our program, we give students a chance to focus on dreams, believe in themselves, achieve their goals, and treat all with respect. It is because of an inspirational and supportive faculty and staff that they have helped us positively guide students in understanding our vision, beliefs, and convictions. In doing so, there has been a paradigm shift on the issues of bullying. Stopping bullying in school takes teamwork and concentrated effort on everyone’s part. Ensor Middle School recognizes bullying, intervenes, and puts a stop to it when it occurs. In a three-year span, bullying at Ensor Middle School decreased by 76%. Our school teaches students to empathize for others’ feelings in order to change their behaviors. Our campus has a zero-tolerance policy regarding bullying.  Because of the unconditional support from administration, faculty, and staff, we are able to be a successful counseling team.

We would like to extend this recognition to our Ensor family for their commitment, for without their belief in us, The A-Team, counselors, Acevedo and Aguirre, this accomplishment would not be possible.
