Homecoming celebrations will be taking place soon at high schools in the Socorro Independent School District. Honoring an outstanding graduate from the schools will be part of many celebrations. Read more below to see who is seeking outstanding ex-students.
Americas High School
Americas is recognizing an outstanding graduate each year during homecoming. The person will be recognized at the homecoming game on Sept. 7, in the AHS newspaper, and a photograph will be hung in the halls of AHS. Who will be the third Trailblazer to be honored?

Socorro High School
Homecoming week is Aug. 27-Sept. 1 at Socorro High School. This year’s homecoming theme is The Greatest Show on Earth - Socorro High School Carnival and will incorporate all the attraction sand games seen at carnivals. Events will include the Parade & Pep Rally / Burning of the "S" at 6 p.m. Aug. 30; the football game at 7p.m. Aug. 31 at Socorro High School; and a dance from 8 p.m. to midnight Sept.1.
