About Us

  • In August 2005, Socorro Independent School District and the El Paso Community College jointly created Mission Early College High School (MECHS). This unique school is founded on the belief that many young people are ready and eager to do serious college work. It enables highly motivated students to move in four years from the ninth grade through the first two years of college, earning the associate of arts (A.A.) degree. Students from many different backgrounds who have a strong record of excellence and diverse interests will benefit from MECHS curriculum. Students will become equipped with the analytical skills needed to pursue their passions.

  • MECHS 2016 Summer Front Office Hours:

    Mon., June 20, 2016 - 8 AM to 1 PM

    Tues., June 21 to Fri., June 24 - 8 AM to 4 PM

    Mon., June 27 to Sun., July 10, 2016 - Closed


    *Exception is Tues., July 5 & Weds., July 6.

    The front office will be open for Summer II Textbooks - 8AM to 4 PM


    Mon., July 11 to Fri., July 30 (Closed Weekends) - 8 AM to 4 PM

  • On the first day of school, Monday August 1, 2016, all students will report to the MECHS cafeteria to receive their class schedule.
    For the first few days, students should bring basic supplies.  Specific teacher supply lists will be given by the teachers as the students move through their schedules.
