About Us

El Dorado High School opened in July, 2003 under the leadership of Principal Nora Paugh and Assistant Principals Cynthia Luna and Bob Hood. Originally serving grades 7-9, EDHS is now a comprehensive four year Title I public high school with challenging academic programs designed to meet the needs of a diverse student body. EDHS graduated its first senior class in May, 2007.

Authorized in 2006 EDHS is only one of two high schools in West Texas designated as an International Baccalaureate World School. The class of 2008 boasts its first graduating class of IB diploma candidates. An array of other honors programs are provided for students not pursuing an IB diploma: Advanced Placement, Gifted and Talented, Dual Credit, and AVID.
