Mrs. Elbancol
I began my career as a bilingual teacher at Dolphin Terrace Elementary in 2005. I was blessed to work there for six years and refine my craft alongside some wonderful colleagues. I taught second, third and fourth grade in this amazing campus. In 2011, I was given the opportunity to become a literacy leader at East Point Elementary. I spent three years coaching teachers and staff on best practices in reading and writing. Three years later, I moved to REL Washington Elementary to become an interventionist. During this time, I also completed a master's program at Grand Canyon University. In 2016, I earned a master's degree as a reading specialist. At REL, I had the pleasure of teaching dyslexia students and watching them grow in reading, which is my passion. I love reading because it allows you to travel to unknown lands and embark on adventures beyond our lives. I hope to bring joy, passion and fun to Chester Jordan elementary. The library is open for everyone to come and fall in love with a book.
