    P.E. Uniform

Ensor Middle School implements a STRICT SUIT-OUT policy.  Every student will suit out in P.E. clothes everyday unless instructed otherwise by the P.E. teacher or medical note from U.S. doctor.

    • PLAIN gray t-shirt (no muscle or cut-off shirts)
    • PLAIN red shorts (shorts must be appropriate length)

*If warm- ups are preferred, they must be plain gray or plain red. LEGGINGS/TIGHTS/SPANDEX ARE ALLOWED ONLY IF APPROPRIATE P.E. SHORTS ARE WORN OVER. LEGGINGS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE WORN ALONE!

PLEASE LABEL ALL CLOTHES WITH NAME

Students will earn a daily grade for participation and suiting out in appropriate Ensor P.E. uniform (regular plain gray t-shirt –– and red shorts or warm ups). The student will be given one week to get appropriate P.E. attire. If P.E. uniform cannot be obtained by the first suiting out day, it is the responsibility of the student to notify his/her P.E. teacher. We will begin suiting out on MONDAY, August 5, 2019.

Students may not borrow clothes or shoes from another student for hygienic reasons. Tennis shoes and socks must be worn at all times. Flip-flops, sandals, Heely's, high-heeled shoes, and boots are not allowed.

    Attendance:

Attendance is recorded in the teacher grade book. Please remember to bring your coach an excused absence slip from the Attendance Clerk in order for your coach to submit the change.  Any notes to be excused from participating or suiting out must be presented to P.E. teacher in writing and signed by the parent or guardian. Students will remain with the class during the P.E. period and work on an alternate assignment. Any excuse for more than a day will require a United States doctor verification. Any unexcused absences, as per school policy, will result in a zero. If a student has an excused absence, he/she will be given two days to make-up missed assignments.

Normal physical activity is advocated during menstruation by medical authorities.  Therefore, girls are not excused from participation or suiting-out at this time.

    Locker Room Expectations:

Cell phones are to be put away at all times in the locker rooms. If they are out for ANY reason, they will be confiscated and turned into the front office. A cell phone being used during suit-out or suit-in time is a severe violation of privacy. There is to be no misconduct in the locker room. Unnecessary loudness, profanity, running, pushing, throwing gear, horseplay, or any action which can harm another student, will not be tolerated. Students will keep locker room and restroom areas clean at all times. GUM, CANDY, FOOD, SOFT DRINKS (SODAS & GATOR/POWERADE) are not allowed. Also, there are NO AEROSOL SPRAY (ex. Axe) or glass containers (ex. Body sprays/perfume/cologne) allowed in the locker rooms.  Coach will issue out lockers; you may bring your own lock. (Do not share lockers, and do not give out your lock combination).

Any violation of the locker room rules will result in immediate action at the coaches’ discretion. In severe cases, a Socorro I.S.D. Police Officer/Security will conduct an investigation of the infraction.
