Hector F. Gonzalez

Hector Gonzalez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1971 during the Vietnam conflict and continued to serve the country for 20 years. He retired in 1991. After military service, Gonzalez worked for 18 years with two non-profit organizations which provide services to the mentally ill. He graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in multidisciplinary studies. He is a member of the National Scholar Honor Society and a parishioner at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. He has an adult son, Steven, and a 13-year-old daughter, Cory. His extended family also lives in the El Paso area.
