Drop Off & Pick Up Safety Rules

Parking Procedures:

1. Please ONLY park in the handicap parking if you have a permit and/or plate.
2. Only park in designated parking spots.
3. Please keep the entrance/exit to the parking lot open at all times and avoid double-parking on the street.
4. 5 mph speed limit in the parking lot and drop-off/ pick-up area.
5. Emergency Parking Area: Emergency parking area is in front of the last safety barrel next to the police parking area. Examples: Sick/Injured Scholar, Doctors Appt., etc.

Pre-K

Drop off:

1. Please use the gate between the front entrance and the bus drop off for your scholar. Once inside the building, they will be escorted to the cafeteria from there.
2. Pre-K parents need to walk their scholar to the entrance to ensure safety.

Pick-up:

1. Please use the gate between the front entrance and the bus drop off for your scholar. The teachers will be waiting at 2:35 to dismiss their class.
2. Parents must walk up to the gate and make contact with your teacher before scholar can be released.

Kinder

Drop off:

1. Please use the gate between the front entrance and the bus drop off for your scholar. Once inside the building, they will be escorted to the cafeteria from there.
2. Kinder parents need to walk their scholar to the entrance to ensure safety.

Pick-up:

1. Once the daycare vans leave approximately from 2:35 to 2:50 PM, parents of kinder Scholars can park where the daycare vans park only to pick up their scholars.
2. This area should not be used to park to go inside the school office to sign-out Scholars or drop off things. Kinder classes will be waiting under the canopy.

1st–5th Grade

Drop off:

1. 5 mph speed limit in the parking lot and drop-off/ pick-up area.
2. Please move as far to the front of the school as possible to drop off your scholars. They can enter through the front doors or the side doors near the cafeteria.
3. Drop off your scholar using the inner circle (closest to sidewalk). The outer circle is for traffic flow use only.
4. Scholars should exit through the passenger side of the vehicle closest to the sidewalk.
5. Please remain in your vehicle. The pick-up/drop-off area is a No Parking Zone. Do NOT leave your vehicle unattended.

Pick-up:

1. Please enter the pick-up/drop-off circle from the right side of the street in the afternoon due to safety concerns regarding pedestrians and heavy traffic flow. Vehicles should enter with the flow of traffic and not wait to make a left turn into the pick-up area. Please follow the arrows on map.
2. First and 2nd grade scholars will be under the canopy. Third and 4th will be behind the Scholar Statues, and 5th grade will be in the hallway next to the Scholar Statues.

Daycare Drop-off and Pick-up Zone:

Please do not park in the front of the school between 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm. There is an area reserved for Daycare and/or FLS parents of scholars with disabilities or special needs marked by safety barrels are along the pick-up zone.
