Writing is something nearly everyone is required to do, and we can all use help now and then; therefore, go to the Academic Writing Guide from the Center for Online Education. It is divided into three key sections:

1. Types of Academic Writing: Argument Papers, Research Papers, Expository Papers, Exam Essays, and Academic Proposals

2. Common Writing Pitfalls: Includes grammar, punctuation, and commonly misspelled words

3. Citations: MLA, APA, and Chicago are all explained, with examples of each.
