Hello Coaches and Team Parents,
As we begin the 2020-2021 new school year, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new students and parent/volunteers. Although we return with uncertainty, we will make it the best new school year possible. The Volunteer Sports Program would like to take the opportunity to provide updates pertaining to our sports program. COVID-19 continues to evolve and the increase of new cases in El Paso, has prompted Team SISD to have safety protocols and measures in place. Our role in containing the possible spread and minimizing a greater outbreak has never been clearer. We will continue to follow guidance and ordinances from federal, state, and local health officials, as well as the Center for Disease Control to ensure a safe school environment. As the new school year opens, Socorro Independent School District has developed a plan of wellness protocols and safety guidelines to follow at every campus. These protocols and measures have been developed by district and school leadership to limit school visitors and protect the health and safety of the Socorro Independent School District community (students, parents, and staff). At this time, our Volunteer Sports Programs is on hold this fall semester.
We love our Volunteer Sports Program and volunteers. We hold you all in the highest regard. We ask you to please assist us in helping our community understand the purpose of these safety precautions. They are put in place to help flatten the curve and slow down the spread of the virus. Please support us in being the constant reminder to others, to practice social distancing, frequently washing your hands, and wearing face coverings. As a reminder, the wearing of face coverings is a mandate from our local health authorities.
We thank you for your continued support and please feel free to contact the SISD Volunteer Sports Program, at (915) 937-0128 or email@example.com if you have questions or concerns.
