    Aneth Segovia has 12 years of educational experience in working with students, teachers, and instructional coaches. Aneth earned her BAE and her MA as an Instructional Specialist from The University of Texas at El Paso.   She has taught at the Elementary level and has served as an Instructional Specialist in the State of Kansas and Texas.  Aneth's primary focus is to help students and instructors work collaboratively to reach their full academic and performance potential.
     
    She currently oversees the following:
    • Professional Development for:

    State Compensatory Education Coaches (SCEI Coaches)

    Provide professional development for State Compensatory Education Coaches (SCEI Coaches) to communicate requirements for state-funded personnel. Monitor time and effort to ensure at-risk students are being served according to their identified areas of need.

    Instructional Aides

    Provide professional development for library and at-risk instructional aides to communicate requirements for state-funded personnel. Monitor time and effort to ensure at-risk students are being served according to their identified areas of need.

    At-Risk Coordinators

    Provide professional development to at-risk coordinators to communicate requirements for state- funded personnel. Provide professional development to identify students in at-risk situations and ensure appropriate at-risk codes are assigned and documented.

    • Response to Intervention (RTI) and Professional Learning Communities (PLC)

      Monitor RTI documentation to ensure that interventions for at-risk students are being provided and documented. Ongoing professional development for State Compensatory Education Specialists. 

      Cooperate with program teachers, campus administrators, and other appropriate staff in meeting instructional goals, objectives and methods in working with at-risk students.

    • Compliance

      Create timelines and audit documentation for all state-funded staff to ensure strategies are developed and resources are designated to meet identified areas of need of the students at-risk.

      Provide ongoing on-site support for state-funded personnel and monitor employees’ duties to make certain they are performing the duties outlined in their job descriptions.
