IB Program Courses Offered at El Dorado HS

Prospective IB Students in Grades 09-10: Students who are accepted into the IB Program will complete Pre-Advanced Courses in preparation for the Diploma Program, grades 11-12.

9th Grade/Freshman Year

1. EDHS IB Prep English I
2. Spanish 1,2 or French 1,2
3. AP Human Geography
4. EDHS IB Prep Biology
5. Algebra I and EDHS IB Prep Geometry
6. EDHS IB Prep Algebra II

10th Grade/Sophomore Year

1. EDHS IB Prep English II
2. Spanish 2,3 or French 2,3 
3. AP World History
4. EDHS IB Prep Chemistry AND
5. EDHS IB Prep Physics
6. EDHS IB Prep Algebra II or EDHS IB Prep Geometry

IB Diploma Students in Grades 11-12: 

Grade 11/Junior Year

1. IB Studies in Literature HL (Yr 1)
2. IB Spanish SL or HL or IB French SL (Yr 1)
3. History of the Americas HL (Yr 1)
4. Biology HL or Chemistry SL (Yr 1)
5. Math- Analysis and Approaches  SL or  HL (Yr 1)
6. Semester 1: Special Topics (Government)  and  Semester 2: Theory of Knowledge
7. One IB Elective: Psychology SL (1 Year)

12th Grade/Senior Year
