K-9 Unit

The Canine Section’s goal is to be a pro-active tool, so it can provide a safest learning and working environment for the District’s students and employees.

The primary goal is to always maintain a safe learning environment for the students and employees of the District and one of the ways the Police Department will approach this endeavor is through the use of the Department’s Canine Section.

Although the Canine Unit’s focus is to locate the presence of suspected narcotics on our campuses, the main objective is to create a significant deterrent to this type of activity to create a safe environment for the students and employees of the District. 

The Canine Section day to day activities should include but not limited to the establishment of a close working relationships with the School’s Administration, Police, Security, as well as outside law enforcement agencies to provide the safest environment for the District’s students and personal.
