Mrs. Lilia Campoya, Lujan-Chavez ES
@LChavez_ESMrs. Campoya supports reading projects by going above and beyond expectations! It starts with Mrs. Campoya being a lifelong reader which she shares with students every day, whether it is in the cafeteria, on the playground, or on morning announcements. Students and teachers are encouraged to read during a large part of the instructional day. She has created a culture of reading by establishing reading time before school starts as students are lined up to come into their classroom, at lunch time when students are welcomed into the library to continue reading, and also after school where book clubs at different grade levels meet to continue their love of reading. Mrs. Campoya supports library policies by first and foremost giving her librarian time to plan with the teachers during PLCs. She has always encouraged collaboration between teachers and the librarian in order support instruction and student success. She works closely with our community to provide endless opportunities to for parents to volunteer and help in the library.
