Need money for college? One way to pay is by completing the FAFSA.
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the application used to seek financial assistance to pay for college tuition. There are three types of financial aid:
- Pell Grant: money provided to student for college tuition and does not need to be paid back
- Work Study: This provides the student an opportunity to obtain a job at the college or university, usually no more than 19 hours a week, and the work schedule is done around the student's school schedule
- Student Loans: Loans used to pay for tuition. Loans are either subsidized (zero interest attached to the loan, or unsubsidized (low interest attached to the loan)
