Career and Technical Education
SISD promotes advanced skills for competitive wages in high-demand careers. All students are provided opportunities to participate in a CTE Program of Study which will promote leadership, skills development and a seamless transition to post secondary education and/or work.
There are a wide range of courses for different career paths in STEM, Business, Public Service, and the Arts.

Early Childhood Education
SISD offers a free full-day pre-k program for all 4 year olds and a half-day program for 3 year olds. SISD’s early childhood programs provide engaging, hands-on learning to build a solid foundation for students to succeed in their academic journey. The curriculum includes social and emotional development, language development, technology, social studies, math, science and physical development. New pre-k and kindergarten students may also apply for the Dual Language Academy.

Early College
SISD students entering high school have the opportunity to graduate with an Associate's Degree (or the equivalent number of college credits) while completing their high school diploma. All of our comprehensive high schools offer the Early College program.

Esports
SISD has an official Esports league, where each of our comprehensive high schools participate in seasonal competition. Every high school student is encouraged to apply at their campus. SISD Esports League promotes good sportsmanship, leadership and positive digital citizenship, and students must be in good academic standing with grades and attendance.

Fine Arts
Socorro ISD Fine Arts believes that experience in the arts is a lifelong vocation for all students grades PK–12. Our goal is to produce and maintain a comprehensive program for students at all levels that will inspire them to explore and develop their appreciation and talents in music, dance, theater and the visual arts.

School Counseling
SISD's Department of School Counseling provides resources and assistance for students to be successful at academics and personal and social development as they become well-rounded individuals for the 21st century.

Special Education
The Special Education Department provides service and support to campuses and students so students receive a free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. In addition to instructional services, related services are also provided to students who have an identified need.

Volunteer Sports Program
SISD has a sports program for elementary students run by volunteer coaches. At this time, we have teams for soccer, basketball, and track and field.
