    CIS in a partnership with counselors,  parent engagement liaison and teachers, working to identify challenges students face in class or at home and coordinate with community partners to bring outside resources inside the schools or homes. 

    CIS assists with immediate needs in regard to food, clothing, family counseling, emotional support, social services, and health services. 

    If you are currently in need of immediate assistance such as food, paying rent, utilities, medication, eye exams/eyeglasses, etc. the following agencies may be able to help:

    Food Assistance/Cash Assistance.

    SNAP Food Benefits. TANF for Families, monthly cash payments to help families with food, clothing, housing, utilities, furniture, transportation, phone, laundry services, other basic needs. One Time TANF Cash Benefits, money to help families in crisis to pay for basic needs. TANF for Grandparents, a payment of $1,000 to a grandparent.     * One Grub Community offers free meals on a “Pay it Forward” basis. Contact to see if there are meals available at (915) 588-7078 or visit 901 Arizona St. Wed-Fri 8am-7pm/Sat 10am-2pm.
    * Food pantry services are available to the community. Make sure to call before visiting varies locations.
