Americas High School

Socorro Independent School District

  • Greetings from AHS Principal, Mrs. Cuevas:

I often reflect on the blessing of leading such a high performing school and the realization of the endless opportunties offered to our Trailblazers. Our campus is filled with dedicated faculty and staff ready to serve our outstanding scholars. Each of our students being a piece of the puzzle that completes Americas High School, creating a phenomenal campus with many exciting and new memories to be made throughout the 2019-2020 school year.

About Us

  • Located on the far eastside of El Paso, Americas High School opened its doors in September 1996 on a desert plain just waiting to be populated with new homes and businesses. Being a new school, the student body consisted of seventh, eighth, and ninth graders under the principalship of Mr. Tony Baca. Forever recorded in history, that ninth grade student body became the first graduating class at Americas High School in May 2000.
Vision:Tomorrow's Leaders Learning Today
Mission:The mission of the Socorro Independent School District is to optimize our students' academic, artistic, athletic, and interpersonal skills.
