    COVID-19 UPDATE (March 28, 2020):
Team SISD adjusts meal service time, locations, parent pickup

Out of an abundance of caution to keep students, employees and families safe and to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, SISD is adjusting the meal service program during the school closure.

With the City and the County of El Paso “Stay Home, Work Safe” order in mind and in order to adhere to government/health authorities guidelines of social distancing to the largest extent as possible, SISD is consolidating to one pickup timeframe and reducing the number of meal pickup sites.

In addition, with new state and federal guidelines, parents now can receive meals WITHOUT having to bring their children to the pickup sites. If parents come to pick up meals WITHOUT their children, they need to present one of the following for all children 18 and under:

    • Official Letter/email/electronic school application from their school, listing children enrolled,
    • Individual student report cards,
    • Attendance record from parent portal of the school website, printed or electronic, that includes the children’s names,
    • Birth certificate for children not in school,
    • Student ID cards.

If parents bring their children WITH them when they pick up meals, no documentation is required.

Families may pick up both breakfast and lunch at the same time from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday at select schools within the district. The meals will be available at:

    Cactus Trails Elementary
    Chester Jordan Elementary
    Dr. Sue A. Shook Elementary
    Escontrias Early Childhood Center
    Helen Ball Elementary
    Horizon Heights Elementary
    Hueco Elementary
    Lujan-Chavez Elementary
    Mission Ridge Elementary
    O’Shea Keleher Elementary
    Purple Heart Elementary
    Robert R. Rojas Elementary
    Vista Del Sol Elementary
    Bill Sybert School
    Desert Wind School
    Jane A. Hambric School
    John Drugan School
    Capt. Walter E. Clarke Middle
    Montwood Middle
    SPC. Rafael Hernando III Middle
    Pebble Hills High School

Service will be available via a drive-through or walk-up process. Meals will be provided for all children 18 years old or under in a household, regardless of where they reside or income qualifications.
