Immunize El Paso, SISD offers COVID-19 vaccines, flu shots
The Socorro Independent School District, in partnership with Immunize El Paso, is providing COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinics at various schools and facilities throughout the district.
SISD insured employees and their dependents may pre-register for flu shots at SISD Influenza Vaccine Registration. Pre-register for a COVID-19 vaccine at https://hipaa.jotform.com/proaction/covid19. Call 915-533-3414 for more information.
COVID-19 vaccines are provided for anyone in the community ages 12 and over and flu shots are provided for individuals 6 months and older. Insurance, Medicare, children’s Medicaid, CHIP, cash, checks, and credit cards accepted.
SISD Employee Health Clinic provides COVID-19 Pfizer Booster Vaccines
The Employee Health Clinic will be providing COVID-19 Pfizer Booster Vaccines for those that qualify on a walk-in basis from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 13 at the clinic. The booster for COVID-19 is only available for those who received the Pfizer vaccine. To receive the booster individuals must have proof of having their first two Pfizer vaccinations, by presenting their COVID-19 vaccination card and must have received their second dose at least 6 months prior. SISD student-produced PSA on COVID-19 vaccines
SISD high school students in Career and Technical Education audio-video production classes participated in a contest to produce a public service announcement about COVID-19 vaccines. The first-place winner was Americas High School and the second-place winner was Socorro High School. Both videos were excellent PSAs and they were combined to create this one announcement to inform the public more about COVID-19 vaccines. COVID-19 vaccines updates and news for SISD community
The Socorro Independent School District is committed to providing the COVID-19 vaccination to individuals who wish to receive the vaccine as part of efforts to help Keep SISD Safe and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The district has made COVID-19 vaccines available to students, employees, and community members through the SISD Employee Health Clinic and through partnerships with Immunize El Paso and other community agencies.
SISD will continue to provide vaccine clinics as the vaccinations are available and information on community vaccine distribution sites to ensure individuals who wish to get the shot have an opportunity to do so.
