SISD expands PreKindergarten opportunities with free full day for all 4 year olds and new half day 3 year old program.
SISD is expanding opportunities for children across the region by offering for the first time a free full-day pre-k program for all 4 year olds and a new half day program for 3 year olds. SISD’s early childhood programs provide engaging, hands-on learning to build a solid foundation for students to succeed in their academic journey. Curriculum includes social and emotional development, language development, technology, social studies, math, science and physical development. New pre-k and kindergarten students may also apply for the Dual Language Academy.
Pre-k, new kindergarten, and 3-year-old program registration day for the 2020-2021 school year will be on Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Starting March 4, 2020, parents can schedule an appointment for the April 4 registration day.
3-Year-Old Program: Free half day classes for eligible students who are 3 years old as of September 01, 2020.
Pre-K: Free full-day classes will be offered for all students who are 4 years old as of September 01, 2020.
Kindergarten: Available for all students who are 5 years old by September 1, 2020.
