    Clubs or organizations offered to students are UIL Academic Team Competition, National Elementary Honor Society, School Ambassadors, Student Council, Cheerleading, 5th grade Basketball Team, Scouting, Intra-district sports teams, and afterschool paid enrichment programs by Alchemy Karate, Young Rembrandts Art, and Snapology Robotics.

     Tutoring opportunities are offered after school at various times throughout the school year.

    We also offer afterschool daycare with the YMCA. They begin at 2:30 p.m. for kinder and 3:15 p.m. for all other grade levels. Children must be picked up by 6:00 p.m.

    Volunteer Programs

    The first step is to submit your volunteer application with our school district for a background check.  Loma Verde parents have two programs that need volunteers.

    Papa Bears -  Invites fathers to volunteer on campus with various tasks such as, monitoring the school entrance and hallways, assisting with unloading and loading of buses and cars, monitoring the lunch room and playground to help provide a safe environment for our students. 

    Parent Volunteers – Invites parents to volunteer on a regular basis to assist with various tasks that provide much needed assistance to our teachers and students.
