Our Physical Education class teaches students to develop healthy living habits that will last a lifetime. Students participate in a wide variety of activities, sports and challenges that will increase their physical, social, and mental abilities, teamwork and cooperation skills. We hope to provide a safe, fun and motivating class that will encourage all students to want to participate, have fun and try their best.

PE Expectations

- Students must be ready to learn and have fun.
- Students must have appropriate running shoes/sneakers.
- Students must have a water bottle.
- Students must respect one another.
- Students must respect the equipment.

Grading Policy

Students should come to class prepared to participate and achieve success in Physical Education. The Physical Education Department breaks down their criteria for grades as follows:
Participation: 75% of the individual’s daily grade.
Students are expected to positively participate in all activities during P.E. classes.Participation is based upon the following:
- Effort
- Cooperation/Teamwork
- Class Preparation
- Willingness to try
- Respect for others
Class Preparation Online Assignments: 25% of the individual’s daily grade.
Students will be required to participate and complete daily assignments. Assignments will be available through TEAMS and will be turned in through TEAMS. 10 points will be deducted daily for late assignments.Skill (Class Participation and Preparation): 100% of test grade.
All students will receive a skill grade. This grade will not be based upon talent but how the individual attempts to perform the skill.
