Meet your Counselor!
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Eloísa Rodríguez, School Counselor at Campestre Elementary. I am a proud graduate of Socorro High School and a member of the Socorro community. I enjoy reading, movies, travel, and experiencing new adventures with my family.
Before becoming a School Counselor, I taught pre-school for twenty years. As an early childhood educator my goal was to promote a student’s self-esteem, encouraging students to achieve and promote their positive self-concept. Now, as a Counselor, I aim to support students, their families and my school community. I am very excited and look forward to serving Campestre and to be a part of the many wonderful things happening in and around campus.
I believe each student will leave school with a strong sense that they are valued in the world.
I believe each student is capable of setting and reaching goals.
I believe each student is an independent thinker who can make informed decisions.
I believe each student can take responsibility for their own choices knowing that they cannot control the thoughts and behaviors of others, but always are able to control their own.
I believe parental involvement is an essential component to the growth of their children.
I believe teachers, staff and administrators are a strong support of the planning, managing, delivery and evaluation of counseling program activities.
I believe school counseling data is integral to school system’s efforts to enhance educational achievement for all students.
I believe that ethical standards should be practice in a professional manner according to the American School Counselor’s Association standards.
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. Our program is designed and implemented to promote student achievement and ethical behavior. We are committed to prepare students to meet the diverse challenges of their generation through our school counseling growth mindset and core curriculum lessons. Students learn to take responsibility of their own choices; knowing that they cannot control the thoughts and behaviors of others, but always able to control their own. With positive mindsets, our students will achieve the goals in their life.
Our vision is to support the exploration and development of the academic, social, career, and personal goals of all students by providing social and problem-solving skills that will prepare them to become independent thinkers who make informed decisions, and are ready to meet the challenges of the future.
