About Us

  • Escontrias opened it's doors in 1924 as the first school in the new Socorro Independent School District. Our Bull Pups have been howling with success ever since! Besides a National Blue Ribbon Award, Escontrias Elementary School is one of 16 schools nationwide to earn a National Excellence in Urban Education Award in 2014. Our Bullpups gain success by using Paw Power- Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible!
Vision:Tomorrow's Leaders Learning Today
Mission:The mission of the Socorro Independent School District is to optimize our students' academic, artistic, athletic, and interpersonal skills.
