  • H.D. Hilley will be celebrating Generation Texas

    from Tuesday, October 19th through Friday, October 22nd.  

    We are encouraging our students to participate in this week's activities

    to show the importance of pursuing a college education.

    Tuesday, Oct. 19: (Medical First Responders/Health Sciences) Wear WHITE! Wear white to honor the doctors, nurses, paramedics, surgeons in the front lines a mist the COVID pandemic, dentists, and others who help keep us safe and healthy. We thank our medical professionals for their expertise, knowledge, and commitment.

    Wednesday, Oct. 20th:  (Educational Careers) Wear RED! Just like the shiny red apples often used as symbols for education, wear red to show your appreciation for our teachers, administrators, specialists, professors, and many more! Educators help educate our future leaders each day despite unprecedented COVID challenges!

    Thursday, Oct. 21st:  (Military Careers) Wear camouflage! The military has many amazing jobs and offers great opportunities to serve our country and further your education. Today we honor the men and women in the military for their dedication and hard work. America land of the free because of the brave!

    Friday, Oct. 22nd: “I have the POWER to Choose My Future” Dress Like a Superhero

  • Red Ribbon Week will be observed from 

    October 25th through October 29th. 

    The purpose of this week and its activities

    is to encourage students to be Drug Free. 

    Monday, October 25th: “Drug Free Pledge” – Read story behind the Symbol Kiki (History of Agent Enrique Camarena) Students recite the Drug Free Pledge during morning announcements. Wear Red Day, Students and staff wear RED clothing to show your Mustang Pledge to be drug free!

    Tuesday, October 26th:  “Give Drugs The BOOT!” Wear Cowboy Hats and Boots!

    Wednesday, October 27th: “Don’t Make Yourself A Target, Say No to Drugs”, Wear Camouflage Attire.

    Thursday, October 28th:  “We CAN Stay in the game; Be Drug Free!” Students & Teachers are encouraged to bring canned goods and Thanksgiving non-perishable food items for school’s Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive October 28-Nov. 12 (Thanksgiving Food Drive Kick Off). Wear your favorite Team’s Jerseys or T-Shirt

    Friday, October 29th:  Say “BOO!” to Drugs! Students and staff may wear their favorite appropriate Story Book Character Costumes for school parade. School uniforms are required for ALL students who do not participate in this activity.

  • H.D. Hilley was established in 1980. Our campus was named H.D. Hilley in honor of Harvey Dixon Hilley, a dedicated leader in the Socorro Independent School District and a district president for 20 years.  Our school colors are blue and red.  We are the proud home of the H.D. Hilley Mustangs.
