About Us

  • Horizon Heights Elementary was built and founded in 1983 in Horizon City, just east of El Paso, Texas. It is in the Socorro Independent School District. When it was built, it was a self-contained Kinder through 8th Grade with a student population of 400. Horizon Heights is now a Pre-Kinder through 5th Grade School that serves over 900 students. Horizon Heights is a year round school in the Socorro Independent School District. One of the many benefits of year-round education is the short breaks, called intersessions. During this intersession time, students are given the opportunity to attend extended learning classes. The Principal is Jenifer Hansen.
