About Us

  • Mr. Hurshel James Antwine was a long time Marketing Education Cooperative Learning instructor and DECA sponsor for Career and Technology Education. He was a delightful man with many stories to tell about his journey through education in Texas and Oklahoma. He ran the DECA school store at Socorro High School. He donated money from the store for scholarships. His passion for life was teaching students to become productive in the work force. He worked with the community businesses to help find jobs for his students. The majority of his life was dedicated to education. He died in 1990 at the age of 67 just three months after retiring from S.I.S.D.
