Week's Shout-Outs
- Our Mariachi gave a great performance at the state competition. Congratulations to Irais Soto for being awarded outstanding Mariachi Vocalist.
- MHS Robotics team. Our two teams, Rambotics and Mean Green Machine, competed in Lubbock. Both teams won.
- 1st Place Inspire Award – Rambotics
- 3rd Place Inspire Award - Mean Green Machine
- 1st Place Motivate Award - Mean Green Machine
- 2nd Place Innovate Award - Rambotics
- Finalist Alliance - Rambotics and Mean Green Machine
- In addition to the team awards, Samantha Villarreal won the Dean’s List Finalist Award (the only award given to an individual).
- Their efforts earned them two spots in the UIL State Championship.
- Rambotics earned an automatic bid to the FIRST World Championship.
- Montwood Sapphires competed at MHS and received the following recognitions.
- Regional A - JV Sapphires - 3rd place.
- Scholastic A- Varsity 3rd place
- One Act Play advanced to the next round of the competition. The team received a number of individual awards:

Trash to Treasure Art Contest
The Green Hope Project invites all students to the Trash to Treasure Art Contest. The contest is open to all students.

Free Tax Income Prep
High school students are offering free tax prep services to SISD community members that make under $85,000 a year and filing 1040 EZ, 1040 A, or 1040 forms. Services are offered now through April 13 at SISD high schools.
