George Johnson

Chief Johnson is a native El Pasoan and has served the community for over 30 years. He has been employed with Socorro ISD since 2014 and was the first Traffic Enforcement Officer and the first Special Traffic Investigator for the District. He retired from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office with 24 years of service. His assignments included K9 Handler, Special Traffic Investigator, White Collar, Criminal and Narcotics investigations.

Chief Johnson’s vision is to promote a community policing style of leadership that stresses intelligent, partnership-oriented strategies involving community stakeholders, as well as various members of the criminal justice system.
