Emily de Santos graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Electronic Media and Communication and a minor in Film Studies. She worked as a photojournalist throughout her college years. Upon graduation, she worked for the University of Texas at Austin before making her way back to Texas Tech. Prior to coming to Socorro ISD, Emily spent three years as a producer with Texas Tech Public Media. During her time there, she received three Lone Star Emmy nominations for her work on various documentaries.
Cesar Ruiz is an experienced photojournalist and videographer, and he currently serves as a video production specialist in the Socorro Independent School District. He previously worked as a broadcast photojournalist in the El Paso market for 15 years. His passion for storytelling and visual documentation earned him a Lone Star Emmy® Award for a news story that brought change in the sports community in El Paso. Cesar also is part of the broadcast team at the El Paso Chihuahuas, Locomotives, and Rhinos sports teams, where he operates cameras and directs video coverage.
