The district has completed its promise to the community on time and within budget. All projects approved by voters were substantially complete, one year ahead of schedule. In addition, bond savings have afforded the district the opportunity to stretch taxpayer dollars and upgrade HVAC systems at four middle schools that previously relied on swamp cooling. Below is an excerpt from the Bond Accountability Committee’s last meeting (December 17, 2015) summary with status updates on all projects.
Pebble Hills High School (ED9)
The final phase of the project, including the fine arts and athletic spaces, is substantially complete. The full building has been turned over and is in use. Some $2.5 million in savings is anticipated after complete project closeout.
Purple Heart Elementary School
The school was completed and opened to serve students on the first day of school. Some exterior work and punch list items were completed through the fall, but did not impede instruction. Some $1 million in savings is anticipated after closeout.
