About Us

  • Robert R. Rojas Elementary is named after a former trustee, Mr. Robert R. Rojas. He joined the SISD Board as a trustee in 1968. During his early years, he worked diligently to establish a bilingual program to ensure our Spanish speaking children could learn English. Aside from promoting equity in students' educational experiences, he also focused on providing quality facilities and better salaries for teachers.

On September 26, 2012, We celebrated our 25th Anniversary of serving students, parents and our community! A new Time Capsule was created and is situated in our campus foyer for all to see. This location was chosen to ensure the contents would not be  damaged by our weather elements. Students were witness to the contents placed within as well as the sealing of the time capsule to be opened at the 50th Anniversary.
