Financial Aid Nights help students, parents fill out FAFSA

Financial Aid Nights will be conducted at SISD high schools in order to help parents and students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. SISD’s goal is for all seniors to complete the FAFSA.

The Financial Aid Nights are offered by SISD with the assistance of UTEP, EPCC and the El Paso Chamber of Commerce, which has recruited community members familiar with the FAFSA process to assist parents and students.

The first step to begin the FAFSA process is for senior students to go online to the FAFSA website (www.fafsa.ed.gov) and get a pin number. Another important step is for parents to file their federal income tax form, which is crucial in students receiving financial aid.

The Financial Aid Nights will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the high school computer labs on the dates below:

Socorro High School  February 12
El Dorado High School  February 18
Americas High School  February 21
Montwood High School  February 28
Mission Early College High School  March 6
