In celebration of School Board Recognition Month in January, the Socorro Independent School District proudly honors its Board of Trustees for their invaluable contributions. The theme for 2026 is “Our Future Is Public,” highlighting trustees' vital role in shaping community futures.
The Socorro ISD Board of Trustees includes seven elected members who collaborate with community leaders, families, and educators to create effective educational policies that promote student success and maintain the district's overall success.
The SISD school board members are Board President Michael A. Najera, district at-large; Board Vice President Paul Guerra, district 4; Board Secretary Marivel N. Macias, district at-large; Trustee Alice Gardea, district 1; Trustee Manny Rodriguez, district 5; Trustee Charles W. Smith, district 3; and Trustee Ryan Woodcraft, district 2.
School Board Recognition Month is a perfect time to thank your SISD board trustee for their dedication and service in governing the school district. Their unwavering dedication and effort are vital in shaping the future of our students and community.
